Koenigssee (pps) Armin Zoeggeler is stringing together one victory after the other: At the Viessmann Luge World Cup in Park City in the US state of Utah the 36 year-old luger from Italy earned his third successive win. The track record of the two-time Olympic and five-time World champion now boasts a total of 52 victories in the Viessmann Luge World Cup. Thus, Zoeggeler is clearly leading the overall rankings with 370 points and a gap of 80 points to runner-up Felix Loch of Germany (290). On third place is Loch’s team-mate David Moeller (264) who finished in eleventh position in Park City. “I now have a comfortable lead in the overall World Cup and this is the reason why, in fact, the overall victory is my goal this season”, explained Zoeggeler. Aiming for his tenth overall victory in the Viessmann Luge World Cup the Italian luger would draw level with record winner Markus Prock from Austria – the only luger so far with ten overall victories to his credit. Faced with Zoeggeler’s dominance it almost seems to be a threat for his opponents when he announced to continue his career until at least the 2011-2012 season. “And after that I’ll decide from season to season”, Zoeggeler said in Park City.
