    Team Germany with gold in Team Relay to eighth World Championship title | 29.01.23

    The 51st FIL World Championships in the LOTTO Thuringia Ice Arena in Oberhof came to an end with the Team Relay event. It was the expected exciting and emotional highlight of the World Championships weekend. In front of 5300 enthusiastic spectators, Team Germany with Anna Berreiter, Max Langenhan and Toni Eggert/Sascha Benecken was crowned Relay World Champions.

    Jonas Müller wins first World Championship title of his career | 29.01.23

    Jonas Müller showed nerves of steel in the men's single. In the sprint he was beaten by Felix Loch (GER), but in both runs the Austrian finished with the best time and celebrated the first World Championship title of his career. The 25-year-old sports soldier from Bludenz won in an overall time of 1:25.478 ahead of Max Langenhan (GER, +0.104 sec.) and teammate David Gleirscher (+0.121 sec.). Thus, he also broke the winning streak of the Germans, who have already claimed seven World Championship titles in the LOTTO Thüringen Eisarena.

    Anna Berreiter wins World Championship gold in German triple victory | 28.01.23

    After Olympic silver Anna Berreiter secured her first World Championship title and was celebrated by almost 6000 spectators in the LOTTO Thüringen Eisarena. In the triple victory of the German women, she relegated defending champion Julia Taubitz (+0.058 sec.) and Sprint World Champion Dajana Eitberger (+0.116 sec.) to the places with an overall time of 1:23.991.

    Degenhardt/Rosenthal and Eggert/Benecken win double gold at World Championships in Oberhof | 28.01.23

    The German festival at this year's World Championships continued on Saturday morning. Jessica Degenhardt and Cheyenne Rosenthal defended their World Championship title from last year in the women's doubles and went on to win again after sprint gold. Earlier, the men could be happy about a German double victory: Local heroes Toni Eggert and Sascha Benecken won their fifth World Championship title in total on their home track ahead of Olympic champions Tobias Wendl and Tobias Arlt.

    In Oberhof's winter wonderland, the first four of nine World Championship medals were awarded today in the sprint event in the LOTTO Thueringen Eisarena. With victories of Dajana Eitberger, Felix Loch and the doubles Jessica Degenhardt/Cheyenne Rosenthal and Toni Eggert/Sascha Benecken the German team celebrated a perfect start into their home World Championships.
